Good golf etiquette keeps the round enjoyable for everyone. It is less about formality than being ready, safe, and considerate.
Keep play moving
Be ready when it is your turn, play a provisional ball when appropriate, and invite faster groups through when there is room.
Look after the course
Repair ball marks, replace divots where the course asks you to, rake bunkers, and follow cart signs and local rules.
Be aware of others
Stay still and quiet while others play, never hit until the group ahead is safely out of range, and call “fore” immediately if a ball may reach another person.
