A practice session or lesson can be more useful than booking another full round. This guide separates operator-listed facilities from day-of access, opening hours and lesson availability. Sources checked 10 October 2026.
Choose a practice destination
- MeadowWood, Liberty Lake: County lists an aquatic driving range, practice bunker and practice green, plus personalised and group PGA instruction and club rental. A useful shortlist option for combining full-swing and short-game work.
- Latah Creek, south Spokane: County lists an aquatic range, practice green, PGA individual/group lessons and club rental. Ask about practice-only access and current ball-dispensing hours.
- Deer Park: operator lists a driving range, putting and short-game facilities. Its 2026 range list quotes small $8, medium $11.50 and large $14 buckets; confirm current operation before travelling.
- Pine Acres, north Spokane: a par-3 and driving-range option for a shorter outing. Confirm current hours, balls, rental clubs and fees directly; no unverified lesson programme is promised here.
- Liberty Lake: check the range’s reopening status before making a practice-only trip. The County construction notice has remained published beyond its estimated completion date; that does not prove either an ongoing closure or reopening.
Book a lesson through the City courses
The City advertises professional instruction year-round at all four municipal courses. Contact the pro shop for the instructor, suitable session, location and current price; year-round instruction does not guarantee outdoor facilities are open every day.

What to ask before your first lesson
Explain your experience and one goal, such as making reliable contact or feeling comfortable on a course. Ask whether clubs and range balls are included, whether instruction is private or shared, how long the session lasts, the cancellation policy and what happens in poor weather. For children, check ages, supervision and equipment requirements.
A simple practice visit
For a roughly one-hour visit, allow time to check in, warm up gradually, work on one manageable skill and finish with putting if a suitable green is available. This is a suggested schedule, not professional swing instruction. Follow posted practice-area rules; do not chip onto a putting-only green.
